Since installing my Off Grid Pro (OGP) battery storage system exactly a year ago, I’ve been really impressed with the savings it has made for me. With an annual consumption of approximately 22,000 kW/year I now buy cheap rate night time electricity at £0.07/kWhr instead of the usual £0.29/kWhr, thus saving just under £5,000/year. Additionally, we have had full power throughout the year whilst the rest of our village have had 3 power cuts, albeit this being quite unusual!
With the OGP system, I have found the integration between the inverter, battery, and tariff data has been seamless. On sunny days, some of my usage is covered by photo voltaic solar generation, and any excess is stored in the OGP batteries for later. On cloudy days, the system fills the battery overnight at low rates without me having to adjust anything. Charging of our two hybrid cars has been very simple and straightforward.
Overall, it’s a reliable, well optimised system that takes full advantage of both solar production and cheap electricity. If you’re looking to reduce energy costs and get more control over your usage, I cannot recommend OGP and their very professional team enough.
