At the core of our energy management system is a high-capacity LiFePO4 battery bank that’s made of non-toxic, environmentally friendly materials.
The battery bank stores DC electricity (direct current) purchased from the National Grid as well as any power generated by renewable power sources at the property, such as Solar PV.
A powerful inverter converts DC into AC electricity (alternating current) and distributes it to everything in and around the property that needs power.

Protection against power cuts
Key benefits of our system are sustainability and energy security. It offers protection from power cuts, maintaining power for lights, appliances and essential equipment if the grid goes down. As long as you have power stored in your batteries, your lights stay on.
We also offer smart control of your battery bank’s state of charge. When an approaching storm threatens the grid you can pre-charge your batteries to 100% (or a level you choose), giving you maximum backup capacity if it’s needed. So in the event of a power cut:
- Your home will continue to run off your stored energy
- If you have solar panels they can recharge your batteries during daylight hours
- A generator can also be integrated for additional backup
How a battery storage system helps you save money
Overview:
Installing battery storage allows you to only pay the lowest off-peak tariff for electricity, typically as low as 7p per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
During the day, when electricity prices rise (often to 20–30p/kWh or more), you can power your property using the stored, low-cost energy instead of buying expensive daytime or peak evening electricity.
This “buy low, use high” approach can lead to significant savings over time, especially if you have high daytime energy usage – for example running a heat pump for a pool, electric vehicle charging or for commercial use.
With energy prices rising by around 7% per year (current inflation trends), these savings will grow even further. Returns like this aren’t easy to find in a bank – a battery makes your money work harder by cutting your energy costs year after year.
Fully charging a 60kWh battery daily could save you £4,500 to £5,000 per year, depending on your energy use and tariff prices. Plus:
- In reality, you may not use 100% of the battery every single day – but even at 70–80% usage, savings are still very significant.
- Combine this setup with solar panels and you could use surplus electricity from solar to charge the battery, in addition to low-cost electricity from the grid. It gives you even more flexibility and reduces your energy costs even further.
Example: 60kWh Battery
Night Charging and Daytime Use;
- Battery size: 60kWh
- Night-time charging cost: 7p per kWh
- Daytime electricity cost: 28p per kWh
Cost to fully charge the battery at night:
- 60kWh × 7p = £4.20
Cost to use the same amount of energy during the day without a battery:
- 60kWh × 28p = £16.80
Daily saving:
- £16.80 – £4.20 = £12.60 per day
Annual saving (if cycled daily):
- £12.60 × 365 = £4,599 per year
